A Semi-Ultimate Linux Motorola Slvr L2 Guide

First and foremost, I recommend using this guide to get your Motorola Slvr L2 connected using moto4lin in Ubuntu.

Now that you have your computer and your L2 seeing each other, it's time to get down to some fun stuff. So what can you do, you may be wondering? Well how about you spice up your phone with some free wallpapers. I mean really, why pay for it? You're money can best be spent else where. So here's what you do. Using the guide above, connect your phone and look for --> Drive C--> Mobile --> Wallpapers.

Hit upload and browse to where you saved your recently downloaded wallpapers.

Now, how about some skins? 'Cause let's face it, the ones that were preloaded with the L2 leaves something to be desired. Best place to find skins are at M3. In order to use them though you are gonna have to do some seem editing to enable spcolor.sch. Nothing to tricky, so wipe that sweat off your brow ;-).

First, click Mode --> Seem Editor. Next, where it says "Seem", make sure "0032" and "0001" are in the appropriate boxes - click "Read Seem"

Now, you'll have something that looks like the picture below. While here, find Offset 53 (the one highlighted in red), and select.

Now look for the Bit Editor, and select 6.

[img_assist|nid=233|title=Seem3|desc=|link=none|align=center|width=|height=0].

It will change offset 53 to say c6.

Click on "Write Seem".

Now your spcolor.sch is enabled and you can upload you skins to your phone. How?

Well then go back to --> Mode --> File Manager. Now most skins are relatively easy, Icons will go into the "Mobile" directory. You know where Wallpapers go, and mma_ucp and spcolor.sch go into --> Drive a --> Mobile --> System. After you have everything in the proper place, go to your phone and select you skin in the --> Settings --> Personalize --> Color Style menu.

That's it for now. When I do more to my phone is when there will be more guides. :-D
